Job summary

Paladin Airport Security Services Ltd. is seeking a Pre-Board Screening Officer to be based at Prince George Airport (YXS).

You will screen passengers and baggage, uphold safety regulations, and maintain professional conduct to ensure a smooth travel experience. Successful candidates will undergo paid training and obtain full certification, with clearance requirements including a Transport Security Clearance (TSC).

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills, preferably in a high-volume environment for a minimum of one (1) year.
• Open availability to work any shift required by the airport operations, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal; fluency in French is an asset.
• Ability to comply with the CATSA medical requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Current resident of Prince George, or the surrounding area.
• Must be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident.

What do Pre-Board Screening Officers do?

This position will be fully based at Prince George Airport (YXS). Work hours will reflect opening hours of the airport, from early morning to evening, and including weekend and holidays.

If you are successful in the application process, you will be required to apply for a Transport Security Clearance (TSC), which requires an extensive background check. Once obtained, you will be eligible to begin the Screening Officer Foundations (SOF) course, which much be successfully passed prior to beginning work as a Pre-Board Screening Officer. #PASS3C
