Job summary

Correctional Service of Canada is hiring General Maintenance Workers across the Prairie Region to maintain roads, buildings and related services. The role includes preventive and corrective maintenance, construction tasks and occasional vehicle service in CSC institutions.

The position requires willingness to work in a 24/7 environment, a valid provincial driver’s licence, and the ability to lift 50 lbs, with career opportunities and comprehensive benefits described in the posting.

Qualifications

• Secondary School Diploma or equivalent education, training, and/or experience.
• Experience in operations, repair and maintenance of buildings.
• Experience with Indigenous communities or organizations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance (corrective and preventive) and construction work.
• Provide maintenance services in various trades (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, masonry, etc.).
• May serve as relief officer for maintenance shops and support offender training.

Education
