Job summary

The Government of Saskatchewan is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support building operations, cleaning, and basic repairs in provincial facilities. You will join a team that keeps government spaces safe and functional, with reliable hours and strong benefits.

Qualifications

  • Experience with building maintenance and groundskeeping operations.
  • Ability to operate ladders and lift objects safely.
  • WHMIS knowledge and safety awareness.
  • Good physical condition to perform manual tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day building maintenance and groundskeeping services.
  • Assist with operation and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and related systems.
  • Perform indoor and outdoor maintenance, including snow removal and lawn care.
  • Operate manual and powered grounds equipment.
  • Ensure life safety equipment is in good operating readiness.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records in maintenance management software.
  • Support client requests and service tickets in a timely, professional manner.
  • Collaborate and assist colleagues and the team on various maintenance repairs.
  • Perform security procedures to help secure buildings and grounds.
  • Conduct minor troubleshooting and determine corrective actions.
  • Adhere and follow established safety protocols, legislation, and guidelines.
  • Perform custodial and cleaning service tasks with attention to detail.

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records in maintenance management software.
  • Support client requests and service tickets in a timely, professional manner.
  • Collaborate and assist colleagues and the team on various maintenance repairs.
  • Perform security procedures to help secure buildings and grounds.
  • Conduct minor troubleshooting and determine corrective actions.
