Job summary

Eaton Corporation is seeking a Power Systems Engineering Lead to join the Power Systems Engineering (PSE) group in Canada. The role can be based in Ontario, Alberta, Quebec, or other listed locations and offers a competitive salary with overtime eligibility.

The successful candidate will provide applied engineering consultations across power systems studies, power quality analysis, substation design, and training, while leading large-scale studies and projects with strong analytical and safety

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
P.Eng. License in any Canadian Province.
Minimum 5+ years’ experience working as Power System Engineer.
Experience in Ground Grid Design using CDEGS or similar software.
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
Must be able to work in Canada without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.

Responsibilities

Provide applied engineering and technical consultation for customers in power systems studies, design, installation, startup, maintenance, repair and training.
Manage assigned projects and job costs to stay within budgeted estimates; interpret specs and design technical proposals and pricing.
Provide technical solutions to customers including equipment design or upgrades, testing, safety, reliability or efficiency improvements.
Perform engineering design duties applying engineering principles.
Troubleshooting and problem solving for power distribution equipment.
Mentor or lead other engineers on projects and review their work.
Design and conduct specialized training for customers.
