Job summary

Eaton Corporation in Canada is seeking a Power Systems Engineer for a hybrid role based in Kitchener, ON or Milton, ON. The position requires about 10% travel and offers benefits on day one.

  • Project Management - Self-management of assigned projects and job cost accountability to perform work within budgeted cost estimates.
  • Engineering Assignments - Performs engineering assignments that may involve power systems analysis, power quality measurements and audits, consulting and design services, troubleshooting, and problem solving relative to power distribution equipment.
  • Power Analysis - Focus on short circuit, coordination, arc flash, load flow and power quality analysis.
  • Technical Proposals - Interpret specifications and customer inquiries; design technical proposals and pricing for customers.

What you’ll do:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in engineering or the electrical field.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now and in the future.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum of two (2) year experience in power systems engineering.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in the use of SKM, PTW, ETAP, EDSA, CYME, or EasyPower software preferred.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $69000 - $87000 a year.
