Job summary

BBA Consultants seeks an intermediate Electrical Engineer and Project Leader for Power Generation and Apparatus. You will manage projects, develop client relationships, and lead engineering tasks from proposals through commissioning in substations and industrial power systems.

Strong leadership, technical breadth, and travel flexibility are required. Responsibilities include drafting specs, material lists, and design calculations; ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery; and sharing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
• Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
• 5–12 years of experience in power systems and MV/HV equipment.
• Willing to travel between Mont-Saint-Hilaire and Val-d’Or offices.
• Proficient in MV/HV equipment and switchgear.
• Knowledge of power flow, short-circuit studies, protection coordination, arc-flash hazard analysis.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Project, Excel).
• Proficiency in ETAP, EMTP-RV, CYME and PSAF.
• Advanced English and French skills for collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee business relationships and service quality.
• Lead proposal preparation.
• Manage electrical engineering projects for industrial clients.
• Develop and implement work methods.
• Prepare study reports and technical documentation.
• Design power systems and related documents.
• Coordinate design reviews, costs and schedules.
• Mentor junior engineers and support talent succession.
• Apply health and safety policies on projects.
