Job summary

Agilus Work Solutions in Calgary, Alberta, seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead power generation projects from concept through execution. You will develop LV, MV, and HV layouts, design generator paralleling schemes, and ensure compliance with the Canadian Electrical Code while collaborating with utilities and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• P.Eng registration with a Canadian province is required.
• Minimum of five years of power system design experience.
• Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code is essential.
• Experience with LV, MV, HV distribution systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop LV, MV, and HV single-line diagrams for power generation systems.
• Design generator paralleling schemes and protection settings.
• Prepare electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and construction drawings.
• Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and arc flash studies.
• Specify electrical equipment including transformers, switchgear, MCCs, and protection systems.
• Review vendor documentation and interconnection requirements with utilities.
• Support commissioning activities and equipment start-up.
• Collaborate with customers, contractors, utilities, and internal teams throughout project execution.
