Job summary

York University is seeking a Power Platform Enablement Assistant to support content creation and training delivery on Microsoft Power Platform within the Information Services & Technology, Schulich School of Business. Reporting to the Cloud & Infrastructure Architect, you will create guides, labs and tutorials for a diverse audience.

Applicants should have a post-secondary diploma or degree and at least one year of relevant experience, including documentation and instructional design.

Qualifications

• Completion of a post-secondary diploma or degree in IT/CS/Education or related field.
• Minimum of 1 year relevant experience including technical documentation, user guides, training materials, instructional design or enterprise app development.

Responsibilities

• Provide content creation and training delivery support on Microsoft Power Platform.
• Develop and maintain user guides, labs and video tutorials.
• Collaborate with colleagues and manage user access and groups as needed.

Purpose

The Power Platform Enablement Assistant provides content creation and training delivery support on Microsoft Power Platform in the Department of Information Services and Technology, Schulich School of Business under the direction of the Cloud & Infrastructure Architect.

Education

Completion of a post-secondary diploma or degree program in a related field (such as Information Technology, Computer Science, Education, etc.).

Experience

Minimum of 1-year relevant experience, including technical documentation, user guides, training materials, instructional design or corporate training creation and enterprise application development.

Skills

• Effective technical communication and writing skills.
• Effective content creation skills (e.g., video tutorials, labs, guides).
• Effective collaboration and user management skills.
• Effective problem-solving skills.
• Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven), Power Automate, and Dataverse.
• Knowledge of instructional design and adult learning principles.
