Working under the direction of the Manager IT and Innovation, this position coordinates, designs and implements all web application and related activities within Osgoode Professional Development (OPD). This includes designing, building, implementing and administering Web sites and web applications. integrating sites with back end applications. coordinating special web-based projects, including creation and maintenance of databases. web server configuration and maintenance.
University degree in Computer Science or any related field in Information Technology is required or an equivalent of 4 years recent experience (defined as within the last five years) working at York University and performing the same or similar tasks. This education equivalency is in addition to the experiential requirements outlined below.
Four (4) years recent related work experience. Experience supporting technology in an academic environment. Experience administering Linux operating system, Apache web server, PHP scripting language and MySQL database server. Experience in creating web based applications and systems from the conceptual stages to production level is required.
