Job summary

Interior Health is seeking a Power Engineer 4 | Maintenance Supervisor for Summerland Health Centre in Summerland, BC. You will oversee day-to-day plant operations, supervise staff, coordinate work assignments, and support training and performance management.

You will perform hands-on maintenance across various trades and operate building systems including boilers, HVAC, and emergency power, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education plus five years of related experience, including two years in a supervisory capacity.
• Certificate of competency as 4th Class Power Engineer recognized by the Province of British Columbia.
• Valid BC Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day plant and maintenance operations.
• Supervise staff and coordinate work assignments.
• Support training and performance management.
• Perform hands-on maintenance and repairs across trades.
• Operate and maintain boilers, HVAC, emergency power, and other building systems.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations to provide a safe, reliable environment.
