Job summary

Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health) seeks a Power Engineer 3/Maintenance Worker V to operate, maintain, and repair the hospital power plant and related equipment at Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria, BC. You will monitor BAS systems and adjust parameters to ensure safe, efficient operation and comfort, while performing trades duties up to journeyman level.

The role requires a 3rd Class Power Engineer certificate, two years of related experience, and a valid BC Driver's License.

Qualifications

• Certificate of competency as a 3rd Class Power Engineer (BC).
• Two years of recent related experience or equivalent.
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and repair site power plant and related equipment.
• Use BAS to monitor and adjust temperatures, pressures and flows.
• Perform trades duties up to journeyman level in electrical/plumbing/mechanical/carpentry.
