Wiikwemkoong Board of Education seeks a Post-Secondary Navigator to advise and support students through their educational journey. You will monitor progress, manage sponsorships and education plans, and prepare reports and funding documentation.

Under supervision by the Post-Secondary Navigator Lead and Associate Director, you will build partnerships with colleges, universities, and funding agencies to promote student success and program completion.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Education, Social Services, Indigenous Studies, or related field.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Experience with students, community programs, or education administration.

Responsabilités

• Provide advice, guidance, and support to students throughout their post-secondary journey.
• Monitor academic progress, address challenges, and promote independence and program completion.
• Maintain sponsorship agreements, education plans, student files, and program records.
• Prepare correspondence, support letters, reports, and statistical summaries.
• Review and monitor applications, enrollment, eligibility, allocations, expenditures, and student participation.
• Explain program policies, requirements, sponsorship options, and funding opportunities.
• Process and approve funding requests, including allowances, tuition, and educational expenses.
• Verify documentation and maintain accurate funding and reimbursement records.
• Participate in outreach, information sessions, orientations, workshops, and graduation activities; build partnerships with colleges, universities, training institutions, and funding agencies.
