Job summary

Nak’azdli Whut’en is seeking an Education Intake Navigator to serve as the primary contact for community members seeking education, training, employment, and post-secondary support near Fort St. James, BC.

The role coordinates intake and ensures eligibility, documentation, and referrals are properly managed with culturally safe service. The position supports a seamless intake process, improves client service, and ensures compliance with policies and funding agreements while engaging with

Qualifications

  • Minimum two (2) years of administrative or client service experience.
  • Knowledge of Nak’azdli Whut’en culture, traditions, and values.
  • Knowledge of Indigenous Skills and Employment Training (ISET) programs.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for all education and training inquiries.
  • Explain available education, employment, and training programs.
  • Maintain confidential client files and process applications and correspondence.
  • Coordinate completed applications to Education staff and ensure all documentation is included.
  • Maintain regular communication with applicants regarding application status.
