Job description

Hotel Brand:
Location: Mexico, Guadalajara

Direct key global revenue management projects and initiatives to the hotel community through partnerships with operations and Revenue Management teams that work directly with hotels. Participate in developing key global revenue management initiatives as the voice of the hotel community, providing ongoing feedback to Americas revenue management leadership to ensure successful adoption. Manage the development, implementation, and assessment of revenue-related strategies for hotels in an assigned region, covering pricing, demand analysis, yield management, market segmentation, business mix optimization, and selling strategies in line with company policies and industry best practices. Support regional teams and hotels by offering revenue management strategies and tactics to maximize revenue and profit streams. Provide direct support to Company Managed Hotels (CMH) to enhance performance metrics.

Drive the development, implementation, and operation of strategic and tactical programs to enhance revenue management services and deliver competitive advantage. Responsible for performance analysis, process evaluation, budgeting, training, and deployment of resources to meet strategic goals.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Facilitate communication and training of revenue management projects and initiatives to the hotel community via HPS area teams and operational partners.
  2. Provide feedback to global revenue management to ensure initiatives are effectively adopted.
  3. Implement brand and regional pricing, yield, and selling strategies; explore new revenue opportunities; ensure hotel needs and revenue improvements are incorporated into system enhancements.
  4. Maintain relationships between teams, Revenue Management Services, and HPS, ensuring strategic communication and resolution of conflicts.
  5. Develop and manage revenue management systems and best practices for applicable brands and regions, supporting hotels in maximizing system utilization.
  6. Analyze revenue strategies focusing on key markets to identify opportunities for increasing revenue and profit.
  7. Support regional marketing and product initiatives as needed.
  8. Coach and develop team members and revenue management staff, providing guidance to meet goals.
  9. Work with internal departments to escalate issues and trends, ensuring resolution.
  10. Visit hotels periodically to assist in training and problem resolution.
  11. Create innovative revenue strategies to support franchise performance.
  12. Lead strategic communication and implementation of new initiatives at hotel locations.
  13. Promote effective ways of working within the operating model.
  14. Drive revenue performance and meet key metrics.
  15. Collaborate on market analysis, trend research, and strategic planning.
  16. Present findings and strategies at leadership and regional meetings.
  17. Manage functions within budget, establishing standards and procedures.

Key Skills & Experiences

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Management, Business, Statistics, Marketing, Finance, or equivalent experience.

Experience: 8-10 years in hotel operations, revenue management, or consulting, with proficiency in reservation and revenue management systems like CONCERTO - GRS and N2PRICING, and knowledge of hotel pricing and yield management concepts.

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

  • Project management of large-scale initiatives.
  • Effective communication skills for diverse audiences.
  • Relationship management with leadership and hotel partners.
  • Conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Market trend awareness and revenue driving ability.
  • Expertise in hotel pricing, yield management, and sales strategies.

  • Strong analytical skills for strategic decision-making.
  • Attention to detail and multitasking ability.
  • Knowledge of IHG systems and training programs is helpful.
