Job summary

Safran Landing Systems in Mirabel seeks a plating operator to join our aerospace manufacturing team. You will perform chrome, zinc-nickel, and nickel plating operations, prepare and assemble parts, and monitor plating parameters on electronic interfaces.

You will work on the evening shift from 2:20 PM to 12:20 AM, with potential shift changes per collective agreement. We offer a competitive benefits package, profit sharing, retirement plan, and training to help you develop the required skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in surface treatment or equivalent.
• Experience in manual work or manufacturing field.
• Ability to read plans is an asset.
• Good manual dexterity and basic computer skills.
• Rigor, priorities, autonomy and attention to detail.
• Analytical mindset and initiative; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Control conditions of high strength parts at all process stages.
• Prepare and assemble parts with anodes and masks.
• Perform electrolytic deposits (chrome, nickel, cadmium).
• Apply and monitor plating parameters on electronic interfaces.
• Use digital/analog measuring instruments.
• Participate in certification of plating baths.
• Inspect parts.

The job involves performing chrome, zinc-nickel, and nickel plating operations through electrodeposition using anodes, shapes, anode cages, tanks, chemical solutions, and other techniques.

• Control the conditions of high mechanical strength parts at all stages of the process
• Prepare and assemble parts with anodes and masks
• Perform electrolytic deposits (cadmium plating, chrome plating, or nickel plating)
• Apply and control plating parameters on electronic interfaces

• Participate in the certification of plating baths
• Inspect parts

Note: Depending on the collective agreement rules, the position may change shifts (day, night, or weekend)

• The salary for this position starts between $31.18 and $45.12 per hour, depending on your skills, experience, and qualifications. With internal training and your progress in acquiring job-related skills, the hourly wage will increase up to a maximum of $48.97.
