Job summary

Safran Landing Systems in Mirabel, Canada, is seeking a polishing technician to work on main landing gear components with high precision. You will use air-powered tools or semi-automatic equipment to ensure exact dimensions for subsequent assembly.

Responsibilities

Job description

Safran Landing Systems is a subsidiary of Safran Landing Systems, a global leader in landing and braking systems for aircraft. The Mirabel plant is dedicated to the manufacturing of major components for landing gear for Airbus A320, A330, and A350 models, as well as the Boeing 787. It features state-of-the‑art equipment for machining, polishing, and special processes, including heat treatment, shot peening, and surface treatments.

You will perform, using air-powered hand tools or semi-automatic equipment, the polishing of attachment points of the main landing gear components, according to specifications. These operations require a high level of precision to create the exact dimensions to subsequently accommodate other mechanical parts.

You Will Also Be Required To
  • prepare the part and, if necessary, perform assembly on the equipment
  • inspect parts using measuring instruments to ensure compliance with specifications
  • complete the appropriate quality assurance documentation
  • contribute to the continuous improvement of operations and achieving objectives in terms of safety, quality, costs, and on-time deliveries.

Note: Depending on the collective agreement rules, the position may change shifts (day, evening, night, or weekend)

  • The salary for this position starts between $27.85 and $37.87 per hour, depending on your skills, experience, and qualifications. With internal training and your progression in acquiring skills related to the position, the hourly wage will increase up to a maximum of $42.04.
