Job summary

The Corporation of the City of North Vancouver is seeking two regular full-time Prime Reviewers to join the Records Section. You will be responsible for classifying and scoring police files, entering and amending data in databases, and maintaining departmental records.

Reading new files determines processing, with mail distribution duties included. Applicants must have a net typing speed of 50 wpm, be willing to work up to 11-hour shifts, and bring data entry experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 50 wpm typing speed with data entry experience.
• Data entry experience required.
• Some related experience, preferably in a law enforcement environment.
• Must obtain RCMP security clearance; Canadian Citizenship or permanent resident status and five years' residence in Canada required.

Responsibilities

• Classify and score (code) information on police files, verify validity and completeness of codes.
• Enter and amend information in relevant databases.
• Maintain departmental records.
• Read new police files to determine appropriate processing.
• Distribute mail and prepare outgoing mail.
