Job summary

Reliance Home Comfort in Canada is seeking an Apprentice Plumber to join a team that values growth and hands-on learning. You’ll install piping systems, fixtures and appliances in residential buildings, locate and mark pipe connections, cut openings, and ensure compliance with safety rules.

Qualifications

• Registered Plumber Apprentice status.
• Driver’s license with clean record.
• Physically capable of performing all work.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn and grow as part of a team that cares about Reliance and customers.
• Install piping systems, fixtures and equipment in residential buildings.
• Locate and mark positions for pipe connections and fixtures.
• Cut openings in walls and floors for pipe fittings.
• Measure, cut, bend and thread pipes using hand/power tools.
• Join pipes using couplings and welding equipment.
• Test pipes for leaks with air/water pressure gauges.
• Set priorities and meet deadlines.
• Adhere to safety rules and regulatory requirements.
• Perform equipment inspections and stay current with regulations.

What will you do?

• Learn and grow as an important part of a team that cares about Reliance and its customers.
• Install all types of piping systems, fixtures and other equipment used to distribute, supply or dispose of water or wastewater; including fixtures systems and appliances in residential buildings
• Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors
• Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
• Measure, cut, bend and thread pipes using hand and power tools or machines
• Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment
• Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
• Set priorities and work assignments to meet established deadlines
• Adhere to all safety rules and procedures and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Perform general and specific equipment inspections
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all modern equipment and regulations
