Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a PLM Data Migration Specialist in the Montreal area to drive the migration from PLM2020 to PLM360. You will execute data scope, mapping, transformation, and validation to ensure data usability.

Work with the Global Data Migration Team and ECS to define mappings, run tests, resolve defects, and support the final cutover. Strong PLM experience and data analysis are essential.

Our client, Industry Descriptor is seeking a PLM Data Migration Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong data analysis skills, hands-on ETL and mapping experience, and the ability to collaborate across global teams to ensure accurate, quality-assured PLM data migration.

What's the Job?

• Execute BU-level PLM data migration activities for the PLM2020 to PLM360 transition, ensuring alignment with defined global processes, scope, and timelines.
• Work closely with the Global Data Migration Team and the external Data Migration Partner (ECS) to ensure correct execution of migration scope, mapping definitions, migration rules, and quality gates.
• Own hands-on data scope execution, including mapping application, transformation logic, and validation, ensuring migrated data is at least as useful and accessible as in PLM2020 (and preferably improved).
• Define, apply, and validate attribute mapping between PLM2020 and PLM360 data structures, including items, BOMs, metadata, classifications, and engineering artifacts.
• Support business readiness for migration cycles, including test loads, validation rounds, defect resolution, and final cutover.

What's Needed?

• Proven experience with Teamcenter / Active Workspace data structures, item management, revisions, BOMs, eCube, SQL, and metadata rules.
• Strong background in data analysis, data quality assessment, and handling complex engineering datasets.
• Prior experience leading or executing PLM data migrations (preferably multi-system enterprise migrations).
• Hands-on experience with mapping design, ETL workflows, and data validation frameworks.
• Understanding of core engineering product data (Items, BOMs, Specifications, CAD/PD data, Service BOM variants, etc.), plus familiarity with SAP integration contexts and downstream ERP touchpoints.
