Job summary

Altis Technology is seeking a PLM Data Migration Specialist to support a major enterprise transformation in a complex engineering environment in Montreal. You will migrate critical product and configuration data from a legacy PLM to a new platform, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for the business.

Responsibilities

• Execute PLM data migration activities including extraction, cleansing, transformation and validation.
• Define mappings for items, BOMs, metadata, classifications and engineering artifacts.
• Identify legacy data quality issues and drive remediation with cross-functional teams.
• Support test loads, validation cycles, defects, production loads and cutover.
• Collaborate with Engineering, CAD/PD, Service, Manufacturing and SMEs to validate data ownership.
• Maintain mapping specs, validation evidence, defect logs, and migration docs.
• Report progress, risks, and issues within governance and quality gates.

Were hiring a PLM Data Migration Specialist to support a major enterprise technology transformation within a complex engineering environment. Youll play a hands-on role in migrating critical product and configuration data from a legacy PLM environment to a new platform, helping ensure information is accurate, accessible, and ready to support the business.

Youll collaborate closely with business units, global migration teams, engineering subject matter experts, and external partners. This is an opportunity to combine deep PLM knowledge with data migration expertise while contributing to a large-scale transformation that impacts teams across the organization.

Your Responsibilities

• Youll execute PLM data migration activities, including extraction, cleansing, transformation, loading, and validation.
• Youll define and validate mappings for items, BOMs, metadata, classifications, engineering artifacts, and other product data.
• Youll identify legacy data quality issues and collaborate with technical and business teams to drive remediation.
• Youll support test loads, validation cycles, defect resolution, production loads, and final cutover activities.
• Youll work with Engineering, CAD/PD, Parts and BOMs, Service, CAE, Manufacturing, and other SMEs to validate data ownership and migration decisions.
• Youll maintain mapping specifications, validation evidence, defect logs, risks, issues, and other migration documentation.
• Youll report migration progress, risks, and issues while supporting established governance and quality gates.

Skills and Qualifications

• Proven PLM data migration experience, ideally within complex, multi-system enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Teamcenter and Active Workspace, including data structures, item management, revisions, BOMs, eCube, SQL, and metadata rules.
• Demonstrated experience with mapping design, ETL workflows, data cleansing, data quality assessment, and validation frameworks.
• Strong understanding of engineering product data, including Items, BOMs, Specifications, CAD/PD data, and Service BOM variants.
• Experience working with large OEMs or complex engineered products and product configuration structures.
• Familiarity with SAP integration environments, part master data flows, and downstream ERP touchpoints.
• Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work across business, engineering, technical, and global teams.
