Job Summary:

Design, program, operate, service, and maintain PLC devices.

Knowledge and Skills (Education):

• Post-secondary education with an Electro-Mechanical Technician Diploma or equivalent.
• Provincial Certification (Red Seal 309A or 442A) required.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of technical controls and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Major Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot equipment including weld controllers, robotics, and programmable logic controllers.
• Design electrical and electronic circuits.
• Program PLCs, AC/DC drives, and Servo Drives.
• Modify robot, PLC programs, and machine screen interfaces.
• Perform equipment maintenance.
• Change welding consumables as needed.
• Adjust MIG and spot-welding schedules on Medar, Lincoln, Miller, and Panasonic weld controllers.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
