Job summary

The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board is seeking a Registered Early Childhood Educator to join the Early Learning Program for Junior and Senior Kindergarten students in a full-day setting. The Educator collaborates with the classroom teacher to provide high-quality, play-based learning that supports cognitive, emotional and social development.

The 100% term position leads an extended before/after-school program at designated elementary schools, under the Principal's direction, with a focus

Qualifications

• Two-year college program in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
• Registration in good standing with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators is required.
• A minimum of one year of child care experience is required.
• Valid First Aid/CPR certification is required.
• Immunization records including MMR and Tdap are required for OCDSB hires after Sept 1, 2022.
• Police Records Check (PRC-VSC) within the last 6 months is required for new hires.

Responsibilities

• Support high quality play-based education to promote learning and development in Junior and Senior Kindergarten.
• Lead an extended before- and/or after-school program for OCDSB students at designated schools.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers on daily activities and student learning.
