Job summary

Upper Canada District School Board is hiring a Registered Early Childhood Educator to support kindergarten learning under the Principal’s direction. You will plan, set up, implement and assess learning experiences in collaboration with the classroom teacher.

Qualifications include a university degree or a 2-year diploma in ECE, registration in good standing, and 2–3 years of related experience. English and/or French settings may apply, with a focus on child development and inclusive practices.

Qualifications

• University degree in early childhood development or a 2-year post-secondary diploma in Early Childhood Education.
• Registration in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
• Minimum of 2-3 years recent experience in related child care.
• Assignments may include English and/or French classroom settings.

Responsibilities

• Works collaboratively with teaching staff to achieve goals.
• Plans and delivers age-appropriate learning experiences for kindergarten students.
• Provides supervision and safety in the absence of the teacher.
• Maintains positive communications with parents/guardians and staff.
• Collaborates with school and community partners on special needs programs.
