Job summary

Ottawa-Carleton District School Board is seeking a Registered Early Childhood Educator to join its team for a 10-month school year. The role involves delivering high-quality, play-based education to Junior and Senior Kindergarten students in a full-day Early Learning Program.

You will lead an extended before/after-school program and work with teachers to support student development. Ontario ECE registration, 2-year ECE program, and First Aid/CPR are required.

Qualifications

• Two-year community college program in Early Childhood Education or equivalent
• Registration with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators in good standing
• Minimum of one year of child care experience
• Valid First Aid certification/CPR required
• Immunization records with MMR and Tdap, and chicken pox history or vaccine
• Police Records Check for the Vulnerable Sector within required timeframes

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, play-based education supporting development for Junior and Senior Kindergarten students
• Lead an extended before/after-school program at designated elementary schools
• Collaborate with the classroom teacher to support daily activities and learning
