Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering with leadership or people-management experience.
• Strong backend focus with Python or similar language and distributed systems expertise.
• Experience with relational databases, caching, API design, and AWS/Kubernetes.
• In-depth knowledge of CI/CD, observability tooling, and IaC practices.

Responsibilities

• Own people-management for platform engineers and remain technically engaged.
• Set and communicate team strategy and roadmap with engineering leadership.
• Guide design and delivery of backend and platform services powering AI workflows.
• Steer CI/CD and progressive-delivery infrastructure for safe, continuous releases.
• Ensure platform cloud infrastructure is managed via IaC with proper capacity planning.
• Champion scalable, reliable backend architecture across a microservices system.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives with product, AI, and infra teams.
• Raise the bar on engineering practices, testing, observability, and ops excellence.
• Drive observability across the platform with metrics, logs, and traces.
• Maintain strong on-call posture and incident response for customer-facing systems.
• Grow technical leadership and foster a culture of learning and ownership.
