Qualifications

• BA degree or related work experience required in lieu of degree.
• 3-5 years’ experience in a folding carton plant, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lead and direct others.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and internet research skills.
• Experience with SAP is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and manages all production activities (planning, acquisitions, manufacturing, quality) on schedule.
• Optimizes production while maintaining deadlines, costs, quality and health & safety.
• Uses 5S, Kaizen, SMED, TPM for continuous improvement.
• Interacts with Customer Service and Sales on orders.
• Communicates with Plant Manager and dept. managers on equipment/material needs.
• Resolves scheduling-related customer/sales issues.
• Ensures production schedule meets customer requirements.
• Supports Safety, NLF, OTD, OEE, QSR, and Working Capital goals.
• Coordinates with Structural Designer, Estimator on packing specs and throughput.
• Develops training programs and ensures knowledge transfer.
• Identifies risks and enforces safety procedures and actions.
• Participates in Health & Safety, Food Safety programs and GMPs.
• Supports SQF, HACCP, Food Defense and related procedures.
