Job summary

ProMach in Mississauga seeks an experienced Label Production Manager to lead the production team, driving safety, quality and on-time performance while controlling costs. You will manage labor, training and workflow across raw materials to shipping, using ERP data to identify improvement opportunities and collaborating with customer service and estimating for new opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a production environment with team leadership.
• Proven ability to implement controls and process standards.
• Experience reducing cycle times and improving quality.
• Experience managing workflow from raw material inventory through shipping.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, organization and time-management.
• 3+ years in label production or printing (preferred).
• Syteline ERP experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Mississauga Label Production Team and build a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety and continuous learning.
• Oversee daily production operations and meetings to meet or exceed customer expectations, targets and quality standards.
• Manage labour, overtime, waste and production-related expenditures within budget.
• Lead, mentor and develop press operators and production support staff.
• Oversee hiring, training, performance management and workforce planning.
• Manage production requirements and resources including lead times, on-time performance, scheduling, quality control and continuous improvement.
• Use the ERP system and data to identify trends and drive improvements.
• Partner with Customer Service and Estimating to assess new opportunities and feasibility.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and resolve escalations.
• Ensure preventative maintenance programs are in place for reliable equipment.
• Maintain knowledge of emerging production methods and materials.
• Support Shipping/Receiving, inventory, Health and Safety, special projects and other operational requirements.
