Job summary

Aecon Utilities is seeking a Planner/Scheduler to help deliver Canada’s infrastructure projects. You will partner with Project Managers, Operations and Project Controls to develop, maintain, and optimize schedules across the project lifecycle.

The role requires Primavera P6 expertise, EVM knowledge, and experience in construction scheduling. You will contribute to forecasting, risk analysis, and reporting while collaborating with teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and roughly 5 years in project planning, scheduling, or project controls.
• Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 and solid knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Experience in project controls, scheduling, forecasting, cost analysis, and performance reporting in construction or infrastructure.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across all levels.
• Willingness to travel and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated project schedules across all project phases using Primavera P6.
• Review scope, drawings, estimates, and execution plans to create detailed WBS and schedule logic.
• Identify critical paths, monitor performance, and recommend corrective actions.
• Integrate schedules with budgets, resources, and forecasting to support project controls.
• Prepare reports including S-curves, histograms, and schedule performance updates.
• Collaborate with teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure scheduling standards.
• Support proposals, look-ahead planning, and development of junior schedulers.
• Travel to project sites as required.
