Job summary

Aecon Utilities is seeking a Planner/Scheduler to partner with project teams to develop and maintain integrated schedules across the full project lifecycle. Reporting to the Senior Planner Scheduler or Project Controls Lead, you will analyze performance and forecast outcomes.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and about five years of scheduling experience, strong Primavera P6 and EVM knowledge, and the ability to travel to project sites, including remote locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• 5 years of project planning, scheduling, or project controls experience.
• Strong Primavera P6 and EVM knowledge.
• Experience in construction or infrastructure environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Valid driver’s license and travel willingness.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated project schedules in Primavera P6 across all project phases.
• Review scope, drawings, estimates, and execution plans to create WBS and schedule logic.
• Identify critical paths, monitor schedule performance, and mitigate risks.
• Integrate schedules with budgets, resources, and forecasting for controls.
• Track progress against baselines and prepare S-curves and histograms.
• Analyze schedule, cost, productivity, and change data for forecasting.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure scheduling standards and reporting.
• Support proposals, look-ahead planning, and junior schedulers’ development.
• Travel to project sites as required; adapt to fast-paced environments.
