Job summary

FWS Group of Companies in Regina, SK is seeking Pipefitters and Plumbers to join our collaborative team. You will lay out, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems carrying water, steam, chemicals, or fuel, including PVC/HDPE and stainless piping, and perform hydrotests within modular assemblies.

Safety comes first: operate forklifts and power tools safely, use proper hoisting, rigging and scaffolding methods, and carry out accurate material take-offs.

Qualifications

  • Appropriate level of experience in pipefitting or enrolled in an Apprenticeship Program.
  • HDPE Fusion ticket would be an asset.
  • Must be able to work a 14/7 work rotation with extended time away from home.
  • Own and maintain basic trade tools.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of measuring, cutting, threading, grooving, and bending of pipes, valves, and fittings.
  • Experience with PVC/HDPE and stainless-steel piping.
  • Knowledge of water treatment and/or wastewater treatment facility construction an asset.
  • Valid Zoom Boom ticket is considered an asset.
  • Pre-Access drug & alcohol testing may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals, or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes.
  • Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair pressurized piping systems.
  • Hydrotest and install fabricated pipe spools within structural steel modular assemblies, adding designed supports as required.
  • Establishing control points with accuracy.
  • Able to transfer levels over large distances with accuracy
  • Working on threaded PVC, CPVC HDPE, PFA, PEX and Victaulic piping systems

  • Experience with compressed air piping and process hot/cold water piping systems.
  • Experience with PVC/HDPE and stainless-steel piping.
  • Knowledge of water treatment and/or wastewater treatment facility construction an asset.
  • Valid Zoom Boom ticket is considered an asset.
  • Pre-Access drug & alcohol testing may be required.
