Responsibilities

• Perform structural welding/pipe welding on carbon steel and stainless steel components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding specifications.
• Perform MIG, TIG, Stick, and flux core welding depending on the project.
• Finding and fixing faults in weldments.
• Safely operate hoisting and rigging equipment to move and position heavy materials.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Carrying out pre-shift inspections.

• Pay or shift range: $30 CAD to $32.15 CAD. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

Description

CIMCO is looking for experienced Pipe Welders for our facility in Burlington. Responsibilities include assembling, welding (MIG, TIG), blueprint reading, and quality checks. Must thrive in a unionized, team-based environment. Shifts are on rotation: Monday-Thursday at 6:00AM - 3:00PM & 2:45PM - 1:15AM & Friday at 6:00AM-12:00PM.

Role Responsibilities

• Perform structural welding/pipe welding on carbon steel and stainless steel components
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding specifications
• Performing MIG, TIG, Stick, and flux core welding depending on the project
• Finding and fixing faults in weldments
• Safely operate hoisting and rigging equipment to move and position heavy materials
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Carrying out pre-shift inspections.

Required Professional Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals and processes.
• Experience in MIG, TIG welding
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration and adaptability are important.
• Ability to problem solve, make decisions, plan and organize jobs and tasks.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with an exceptional eye for detail.
• Experience in a unionized environment.
