Job summary

CIMCO Refrigeration Inc. is seeking experienced Fitter-Welders for our facility in Burlington, with shifts including mornings and a split shift.

Responsibilities include welding (MIG, TIG), blueprints reading, and quality checks within a unionized, team-based environment. Ideal candidates will read welding blueprints, verify welds meet specs, and work well across teams, maintaining equipment and following project plans.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals and processes.
• Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration and adaptability are important.
• Ability to problem solve, make decisions, plan and organize jobs and tasks.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with an exceptional eye for detail.
• Ability to work in a unionized environment.

• Pay or shift range: $30 CAD to $34.98 CAD
  The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

Description

CIMCO is looking for experienced Fitter-Welders for our facility in Burlington. Responsibilities include assembling, welding (MIG, TIG), blueprint reading, and quality checks. Must thrive in a unionized, team-based environment. Shifts are on rotation: Monday–Thursday at 6:00AM - 3:00PM & 2:45PM – 1:15AM & Friday at 6:00AM-12:00PM.

Role Responsibilities

• Assembling components so they are ready for installation
• Reading and interpreting project plans
• Performing MIG, TIG and other types of welding methods depending on the project
