Job summary

Cosmopolitan Industries Ltd. in Saskatoon is seeking a full-time driver/handler to receive, transport and process high-grade paper and confidential shredding. You will operate forklifts/loaders, maintain safety, and coordinate vehicle dispatch for confidential pickups.

Requires Grade 12, 1–2 years experience, a valid Saskatchewan driver's licence and the ability to obtain NAID Certification. Starting pay is $19.14-$22.51 per hour, based on experience and education; apply by 22-Aug-2026 via

Qualifications

  • Must possess a valid Saskatchewan Driver's Licence and maintain a driving record acceptable to Cosmopolitan Industries Ltd.
  • Must be bondable.
  • Ability to obtain NAID Certification.
  • Basic knowledge of equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, transport and process high-grade paper and confidential shredding.
  • Work according to NAID policies for handling confidential material.
  • Promote a positive image by driving in a courteous and safe manner.
  • Develop effective working relationships with staff and participants to ensure a respectful environment.
  • Operate forklifts and loaders for loading and unloading materials.
  • Lift and transfer supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Assist in coordinating scheduling and dispatch of company vehicles for confidential paper pick-up.
  • Complete routine maintenance checks on equipment and report concerns.
  • Supervise and support participants to help them achieve personal goals.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Participate as a team member and cross-train for other duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
  1. Receive, transport and process high-grade paper and confidential shredding.
  2. Work in accordance with Cosmo Shreds NAID (National Association for Information Destruction) policies and procedures for handling confidential material.
  3. Promote positive company image and public relations by driving in a courteous and safe manner.
  4. Develop effective working relationships with all staff and program participants to ensure a respectful and positive work environment is achieved.
  5. Operate equipment (forklifts, loaders) necessary for loading and unloading materials.
  6. Lift and/or transfer supplies and equipment as necessary.
  7. Assist in coordination of scheduling and dispatch of company vehicles for confidential paper pick-up.
  8. Complete routine maintenance checks on equipment as required; report concerns.
  9. Supervise and offer guidance and support that will encourage independence and assist participants in achieving their personal goals.
  10. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  11. Participate as an active team member (communication, coverage during staff shortages etc.).
  12. Cross-train for other duties/positions as deemed necessary.
  13. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Must possess a valid Saskatchewan Drivers Licence and maintain a driving record that is acceptable to Cosmopolitan Industries Ltd. Must be bondable. Ability to obtain NAID Certification. Basic knowledge of equipment maintenance.

Experience

Experience operating a commercial truck and handling of material preferred. Experience providing supports to persons with intellectual disabilities is considered an asset.

Physical Demands

Long periods of driving, standing and/or walking may be required. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
