Job summary

Right Choice Energy Services Inc. in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, is hiring a Picker Truck Operator to support fabrication and construction at a busy site. Reporting to the Shop or Site Supervisor, the role covers both shop and field work in oil and gas facilities.

The successful candidate will be safety-conscious, have 2+ years of picker truck experience, and hold a valid 5G licence with a clean abstract. Travel across Southern Saskatchewan, Alberta, and Manitoba is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of picker truck operating experience.
• Safety conscious and able to follow site procedures.
• Hold a valid driver's licence with a clean abstract and 5G endorsement.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, and travel across Southern Saskatchewan, Alberta, and Manitoba.

Responsibilities

• Report fit for duty at the beginning of each shift.
• Complete daily equipment inspections and logbooks.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and report issues to the Supervisor.
• Rig and signal lifting equipment; load and secure loads as required.
• Coordinate work with other crews on active worksites.
• Read drawings and assist with structural and piping installations.
• Use torque equipment and assist with measuring, cutting, threading, assembling, installing, and testing piping systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Right Choice Energy Services Inc. (RCESI) is hiring a Picker Truck Operator to join our growing team in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.

Reporting to the Shop or Site Supervisor(s), you will support fabrication and construction activities in both shop and field environments.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced equipment operator with oil and gas facility experience.

Responsibilities include:

• Reporting fit for duty at the beginning of each shift
• Completing daily equipment inspections and logbooks
• Performing routine equipment maintenance and reporting issues to the Supervisor
• Maintaining clean tools and equipment
• Operating equipment in accordance with RCESI, client, and site safety requirements
• Rigging and signaling lifting equipment
• Loading and unloading equipment and securing loads in accordance with regulations
• Coordinating work with other crews on active worksites
• Reading drawings and assisting with structural and piping installations
• Using torque equipment and assisting with measuring, cutting, threading, assembling, installing, and testing piping systems
• Performing other duties as assigned

The successful candidate will:

• Be safety conscious
• Have a minimum of 2 years of picker truck operating experience
• Demonstrate safe equipment operation
• Have experience with, or a willingness to learn, civil, structural, and piping activities
• Be physically capable of lifting over 40lbs and demonstrating worksite mobility
• Be willing to work overtime, weekends, and travel throughout Southern Saskatchewan, Alberta, and Manitoba
• Hold a valid driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract and 5G endorsement

This is a safety-sensitive position. Successful candidates must complete a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol test. Audiometric and lung function testing will also be completed upon hire in accordance with provincial regulations.
