Lifemark Seniors Wellness is seeking a Permanent Full-Time Physiotherapy Assistant to join our expanding team in St. Mary’s, ON.

The role offers a 32-hour weekly schedule within a permanent full-time status, contributing to innovative senior rehabilitation programs. You will assist the supervising physiotherapist across residential care settings, perform prescribed treatments, deliver group exercise classes, prepare equipment, and maintain safe therapy spaces while documenting daily treatments

Qualifications

• PTA/OTA diploma or degree in Kinesiology or similar healthcare background.
• Vulnerable Sector screening completed within 6 months.
• Proof of Tuberculin (2-Step Mantoux) clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist the supervising physiotherapist with treatment plans for residents in care communities.
• Perform gait training, balance, transfer, ROM, strengthening and modality applications as directed.
• Deliver group exercise classes that are dynamic, safe and therapeutically beneficial.
• Set up, prepare equipment and clean up after residents' treatments.
• Keep treatment areas and resident gym safe and tidy.
• Communicate changes or concerns about resident status with the physiotherapist.
• Record daily treatments using the organisation's web-based system.

Lifemark Seniors Wellness is looking for a Permanent Full-Time Physiotherapy Assistant to join our growing team!

Location: St. Mary's, ON

Schedule: 32 hours/week

Status: Permanent Full-Time

In this role you will:

• Assist the supervising physiotherapist in performing various components of the treatment plans for individuals living in residential care communities
• Perform various treatments as prescribed and directed by the supervising Physiotherapist including but not limited to gait training, balance exercises, transfer training, range of motion, strengthening, application of modalities. (i.e. heat, ice, ultrasound, TENS)
• Deliver dynamic, safe and therapeutically beneficial exercise classes for groups of residents
• Set up and prepare equipment and clean up after residents' treatments
• Ensure that the resident gym and treatment areas are safe and tidy
• Maintain regular ongoing communication with the physiotherapist regarding any changes or concerns about a resident's status or treatment interventions
• Record daily treatments using Seniors Wellness' proprietary, web-based system

Qualifications:

• PTA/OTA diploma, degree in Kinesiology or a similar healthcare background
• Previous experience within an LTC setting an asset.
• A valid Vulnerable Sector screening check (within 6 months)
• Proof of Tuberculin (2-Step Mantoux Test) clearance
