The Lac La Ronge Indian Band Education Department is now accepting applications for the 2026-2027 school year for a Full-time term position based out of Senator Myles Venne School (SMVS) in La Ronge, SK.

Position: Physical Education Teacher - Middle Years. Qualifications include a Bachelor of Education and Saskatchewan teaching certification. Preference may be given to Aboriginal applicants with the requisite skill sets and experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education degree is required.
• Saskatchewan Professional “A” teaching certificate or Provisional Professional “A” Teaching Certificate is required.
• Excellent classroom management skills are essential.
• Ability to teach students of varying abilities in a high school setting.
• Cross–cultural experience is an asset.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHER - MIDDLE YEARS

The suitable candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Bachelor of Education degree


• Saskatchewan Professional “A” teaching certificate or Provisional Professional “A” Teaching Certificate


• Excellent classroom management skills;


• Ability to teach students of varying abilities;


• Teaching experience in a High School;


• Cross – Cultural experience is an asset.


• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License;


• Must be able to provide a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract, Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Screening;


• Must be able to provide verification of previous teaching experience (if applicable);
