Job summary

Lac La Ronge Indian Band’s Education Department is seeking a Learning Support Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year, based out of Sally Ross School, Hall Lake, SK. The role involves developing and delivering IEPs, meeting with teachers, EAs, and parents, and providing direct services to designated students.

Qualified candidates will hold a Degree or Diploma in Special Education or related experience, with Saskatchewan teaching certification or eligibility, and a valid Class 5 Driver’s License

Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Special Education or related experience.
  • Experience working with Educational staff in a team environment.
  • Saskatchewan Professional A Teacher Certification or ability to obtain.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
  • Satisfactory Driver’s Abstract, Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Screening.

Responsibilities

The Lac La Ronge Indian Band’s Education Department is now accepting applications for the 2026-2027 academic year, to fill the following full-time term position based out of Sally Ross School, Hall Lake, SK:

Learning Support Teacher

The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties:

  • Collaborate in the development and delivery of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Attend regular meetings with Teachers, E.A.s, and parents/guardians to share information about what is being done, and what could be done to meet the needs of designated students.
  • Provide direct services and resource support to designated students, as needed.
  • Facilitate the referral process for those students requiring outside professional services
  • Participate in operation of the school extracurricular program.

The suitable candidates will possess the following qualifications:

  • Degree or Diploma in Special Education or related experience;
  • Experience working with Educational staff in a team environment;
  • Saskatchewan Professional A Teacher Certification or ability to obtain;
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License;
  • Must be able to provide a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract, Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Screening;
