Job summary

University Health Network is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for the Toronto Rehab site. You will perform prescription preparation including compounding and dispensing, update patient information in the pharmacy system, and replenish stock, working 37.5 hours weekly in a temporary full-time role ending around July 2028.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Program at an accredited college or recognized equivalent.
• Registration as a Pharmacy Technician (Part A) in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision and manage competing priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Two years practical and related experience preferred.
• Previous hospital experience with unit dose system and intravenous admixture service, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently performing all technical aspects of prescription preparation including compounding and dispensing responsibilities, as per master worksheets;
• Replenishing stock medication supplies for assigned areas;
• Ensuring patient information is updated and maintained in the pharmacy computer system;
• Completing all required reports and documentation;
• Attending, participating and assisting in staff and patient training/educational functions;
• Performing workload measurement support functions;
• Performing cross-functional and/other duties consistent with the job classification, as assigned or requested

Wage Range: $27.56 - $34.45 per hour.

Hours: 37.5 Hours per Week

Duties
