Job summary

The Ministry of the Solicitor General is seeking a registered Pharmacy Technician to join custody health care teams at Thunder Bay Correctional Centre or Sudbury Jail. You will process prescriptions, maintain inventory, and ensure accurate medication records within a secure, multi-disciplinary environment.

Successful candidates must be in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists or be enrolled in a CCAPP-accredited program.

Qualifications

• Registered and in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists, or in the process of completing a CCAPP-accredited program.
• Knowledge of drug therapy, regulatory standards, and metrology.
• Ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation and maintain accurate medication records.

What you bring to the team

Mandatory requirements

• You are registered and in good standing as a Pharmacy Technician with the Ontario College of Pharmacists, or are in the process of completing a CCAPP-accredited Canadian Pharmacy Technician program.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills

You have:

• Knowledge of drug therapy, evidence-based pharmaceutical practice, current treatment modalities, and community pharmacy resources
• Knowledge of Ontario College of Pharmacists Professional Standards and best practices
• Understanding of controlled substance regulations and record maintenance procedures
