Job summary

The North of Superior Healthcare Group is hiring a Full-Time Pharmacy Technician for the Wilson Memorial General Hospital site, with occasional travel required to the McCausland Hospital site.

This role involves providing pharmaceutical support under the guidance of external pharmacists and includes responsibilities such as entering medication orders into Meditech™ and filling orders. Candidates must hold a recognized Pharmacy Technician Program diploma and be registered with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.

Qualifications

The North of Superior HealthcareGroup has an immediate opening for a Full-Time Pharmacy Technician.

Wilson Memorial General Hospital site, with some required, occasional, travel to The McCauslandHospital site.

Under the general direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, and the guidance of external pharmacists, provides pharmaceutical support by: entering medication orders into Meditech™, and filling medication orders. All duties will be performed in compliance with best practices and relevant standards of practice.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate of a Ministry of Colleges and University recognized and accredited Pharmacy Technician Program required
• Registered Pharmacy Technician with the Ontario College of Pharmacists required.
• Previous experience pharmacy-related experience required.
• Computer experience (i.e. Word, Excel, and Meditech™)
• Demonstrated ability to function independently.
• Excellent communication, inter-personal and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning.
• Regular attendance is a requirement of the position.
