Job summary

The Jean Coutu Group in Canada is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to warmly welcome clients, accurately collect necessary data for prescriptions, and prepare medications with attention to safety and quality. You will also assemble pillboxes where needed and keep the laboratory clean and organized to support efficient workflow.

Qualifications

• DEP in Pharmacy Assistant is a strong asset.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a pharmacy setting.
• French language: very good knowledge is required.

Responsibilities

• Be the first contact with clientele, making them feel at ease with empathy and professionalism.
• Identify clientele needs by collecting data for prescriptions.
• Prepare prescriptions and detect potential issues for clients.
• Prepare pillboxes for some patients (PJC).
• Maintain hygiene and tidiness of the laboratory for smooth operations.

Job description

Within your team, your essential role will be:

• Be the first contact with the clientele, so that they feel at ease; your welcome, your empathy and your professionalism will be put to good use;
• Identify the needs of the clientele by collecting the necessary data for the preparation of prescriptions;
• Prepare prescriptions and detect potential problems for the clientele;
• For some PJC, prepare pillboxes;
• Ensure the hygiene and tidiness of the laboratory in order to facilitate its proper functioning.

To hold this position, it is possible:

• Holding a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) as a Pharmacy Technical Assistance is a strong asset
