Job summary

Walmart Inc. in Edmonton, AB is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support the Pharmacist in the technical and clerical aspects of prescription filling and pharmacy operations. You will contribute to high-quality patient care and customer service while assisting with OTC tasks and inventory management.

Attend to prescriptions, perform data entry, label products, and help maintain a clean, organized dispensary. This role requires teamwork, reliability, and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Age 16 or older.

Responsibilities

• Receiving prescriptions from patients, following provincial regulatory conditions and assessing completeness.
• Performing computer functions: data entry, price check, patient information entry/update, and prescription interpretation.
• Filling prescriptions under pharmacist supervision, labeling and organizing for pharmacist checking, and handling verbal refills when allowed.
• Maintaining inventory, pulling expired meds monthly, stocking shelves, and coordinating drug orders and supplies.
• Clerical organization: filing prescriptions, invoices, reports, and other admin tasks.
• Assisting OTC Operations with ordering, stocking, and cashier duties as assigned by OTC Manager or Pharmacist.
