Job summary

Walmart Canada Amherst, NS is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support the Pharmacist in prescription filling and administrative duties, enabling more focus on patient care. You will be a key team member delivering superior customer service in pharmacy operations.

Responsibilities include receiving prescriptions, data entry, accurate dispensing under supervision, inventory control, and clerical tasks to ensure smooth daily operations. Training provided and competitive hourly pay.

Responsibilities

• Receiving prescriptions from patients and assessing completeness.
• Data entry, price checks, and patient information updates as directed by the Pharmacist.
• Filling prescriptions under pharmacist supervision, labeling and organizing for pharmacist checking.
• Maintaining inventory, pulling expired medications monthly, and handling stock/returns.
• Clerical duties: filing prescriptions, invoices, reports, and accounts receivable as assigned.
• OTC operations, stocking, cashier duties as assigned by OTC Manager and/or Pharmacist.
