Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart in Canada’s Waterloo region is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant to support dispensing prescriptions and pharmacy services, while helping maintain the Pharmacy standards of practice. You will deliver a high level of customer service and be part of a national brand with local ownership.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, processing prescriptions, data entry, and assisting pharmacists in clinical inquiries, all while ensuring privacy and accuracy in a team-oriented

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Diploma from a Pharmacy Assistant credited course preferred
• Previous Pharmacy Experience preferred
• Effective organizational skills, ability to multi task

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and verify prescription information per standards
• Assist pharmacist by handling prescription entry and counseling referrals
• Process prescriptions, prepare orders, and manage third-party billing
• Answer phone calls and coordinate callbacks with pharmacists
• Maintain confidentiality and privacy in all duties
• Enter data in pharmacy systems and ensure accurate labeling
