Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart in Canada is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support dispensing prescriptions, assist in delivering pharmacy services, and help maintain operations according to the Pharmacy Standards of Practice.

You will handle data entry for new prescriptions, assist in customer service, and support pharmacists with routine tasks; strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential; prior pharmacy experience recommended.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Pharmacy Assistant diploma preferred.
• Experience in a pharmacy setting preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Attention to detail and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Assist with customer service and prescription information.
• Receive and process prescription orders per SOPs.
• Support pharmacists with data entry and labeling.
• Maintain and control the cash register in the dispensary and handle related transactions.
• Maintain confidentiality and privacy requirements.
• Answer telephone and coordinate callbacks.
