Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart Specialty Health Network is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant in Mississauga to support dispensing, scheduling, shipping, and billing activities. Qualifications

• Pharmacy assistant certification or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Review prescriptions and documents for completeness.
• Enter demographic, payer and prescription data into computer systems.
• Generate labels and prepare medications for dispensing.
• Coordinate timely delivery and packing of medications.
• Answer pharmacy calls and route to pharmacist as needed.
• Maintain inventory and store medications per SOP/regulatory rules.
• Ensure privacy and maintain accurate record-keeping.
