Job summary

Lawtons in Sussex Parish, NB is looking for a friendly Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. The role includes prescription data entry, processing transactions, handling refill requests, and assisting with compounding and pill pack assembly.

The ideal candidate has a Pharmacy Assistant Diploma, prior pharmacy experience is a plus, and a strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while upholding company standards and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Assistant Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute.
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset.
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards.

Responsibilities

• Prescription assembly – data entry.
• Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions).
• Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries.
• Promote Profile programs.
• Compounding.
• Pill Pack Assembly.
• Filing prescriptions, ordering and replenishing supplies, cleaning.
• Drug order creation and receiving.
• Schedule professional clinical services (i.e. medication reviews, health risk assessments, disease state managements etc.).
• BTC management.
• Administrative Duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, return to stocks, TML’s, manual third parties.
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards.
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required.
