Job summary

Lawtons Pharmacy is seeking a friendly and professional Pharmacy Assistant to join our team in Nova Scotia. You will perform prescription assembly, data entry, and handle customer interactions—supporting a patient-centered approach to care.

You will contribute to medication management, refills, and processing orders, while promoting Profile programs and maintaining accurate records in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy assistant diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute.
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prescription assembly - data entry.
• Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions).
• Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries.
• Promote Profile programs.
• Compounding.
• Pill Pack Assembly.
• Filing prescriptions, ordering and replenishing supplies, cleaning.
• Drug order creation and receiving.
• Schedule professional clinical services (e.g., medication reviews, health risk assessments).
• BTC management.
• Administrative duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, return to stocks, TMLs, manual third parties.
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards.
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required.
