Lawtons Pharmacy in Canada is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team and help meet patient health needs with accuracy and care.

In this role you will handle prescription assembly, data entry, basic dispensing tasks, and customer service, while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Assistant Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute.
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Prescription assembly and data entry.
• Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions).
• Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries.
• Promote Profile programs.
• Compounding.
• Pill Pack Assembly.
• Filing prescriptions, stocking supplies, cleaning.
• Drug order creation and receiving.
• Schedule clinical services (e.g., medication reviews, health risk assessments).
• BTC management and administrative duties: cycle counts, narcotics counts, returns to stock, third parties.

• Schedule professional clinical services (i.e. medication reviews, health risk assessments, disease state managements etc.)
• BTC management
• Administrative Duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, return to stocks, TML's, manual third parties
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required

What you bring to the table:

• Preferred: Pharmacy Assistant Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment
