Job summary

FreshCo is seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our Niagara Falls team. You will support prescription processing, inventory, and patient care under the supervision of the pharmacist, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced community pharmacy.

Key tasks include prescription assembly, data entry, handling refill requests, compounding support, and assisting with clinical services such as medication reviews.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Assistant Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute.
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prescription assembly - data entry
• Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions)
• Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries
• Promote Profile programs
• Compounding
• Pill Pack Assembly
• Filing prescriptions, ordering and replenishing supplies, cleaning
• Drug order creation and receiving
• Schedule professional clinical services (i.e. medication reviews, health risk assessments, disease state managements etc.)
• BTC management
• Administrative duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, return to stocks, TML's, manual third parties
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required
